Barbicide is a disinfectant solution used by barbers and cosmetologists for disinfecting grooming tools such as combs and hair-cutting shears. Manufactured by King Research, it was invented in 1947 by Maurice King and marketed heavily around the United States by his brother James.

A barber has to sanitize and disinfect his haircut tools every time, in between every customer. You want everything you use on your client to be clean, with no exceptions. It's also the law!

Remove any attachments you've been using. Using a cleaning brush, dislodge as much hair and debris from your clippers as possible. Use an anti-bacterial clipper spray to clear any remaining bits of hair away and prevent cross-contamination. Leave the spray on for as long as is stated on the can before wiping clean.
